RTS is a game changer for any fitness or health professional who prescribes exercise programs for their clients/patients. What you will get from this course is a better understanding of the mechanics of exercise, human movement and equipment mechanics and how to analyse these and adapt them to the specific individual and their goals. This is crucial because we are all built differently and as such there is no one-size fits all approach or perfect exercise for everybody. With this knowledge you will be better equipped to deliver exercise programs for your patient’s/clients or yourself and your own exercise journey. Garth Van Der Merwe ~ Physiotherapist

For those of you that are serious about your fitness career, look no further than the Resistance Training Specialist (RTS) course. The course has immensely helped me in gaining in-depth knowledge regarding how to design exercise programmes for a given person based on individual needs, abilities and anthropometry via the application of biomechanics. With a previous background in competitive bodybuilding I’ve always trained anecdotally based on “exercise mechanics” posts of numerous social media gurus, which often can be misleading or just wrong. As I began to learn more from RTS, it has really allowed me to train more effectively and efficiently without becoming injured. Again, for anyone who is in search for the most advanced specialty educational program in the exercise professional world, RTS would be your best bet. After all, the course is not designed for the mediocre trainers but competent fitness trainers.

Discovering RTS has been a true game changing experience. If you consider yourself a true fitness professional then you would be doing yourself disservice by not attending this course. RTS cuts through the bs and arms you with the tools and critical thinking skills necessary for you to be able to make informed decisions and allow you to filter through the sea of misinformation that’s out there. RTS doesn’t simply present you with a one size fits all methodologies or protocols that you must blindly adhere to. As with my experience, many other courses in the fitness industry simply want you to accept information they present as the absolute truth. Admittedly in the past I have accepted information at face value without ever really questioning the reasoning behind it. Where this course truly excels is its propensity to challenge your conventional thinking around these concepts and give you the ability to put reasoning behind the choices you make as trainer. Your thought process evolves as you go from looking things in one dimension to seeing an infinite number of possibilities to an issue. The many lessons I had learned through RTS has not only helped me tremendously improve the quality of the service i provide for my personal training clients but it has also made me a better practitioner in my sport of Powerlifting. Thank you to the team at RTS for your passion, dedication and for having the integrity to raise the standard of our industry. A special acknowledgement to Robert Garza who has mentored me over the past 2 years. Your passion for this industry is unquestionable and second to none. Your enthusiasm to share your knowledge and wisdom is always appreciated

James Wikiriwhi
James Wikiriwhi a leading Auckland PT says, “As a trainer we look at how someone moves in an exercise/sport or everyday life and it can be different for many reasons. The RTS1 Course has helped me to understand the ‘why’ it happens and the ‘how’ to recognise and improve and/or strengthen. The skills you learn in this course are delivered in a way that anyone wanting to learn, can. One of the biggest takeaways I’ve had is to fully understand my ‘true movement’ which ultimately makes me a better trainer. RTS1 is definitely a course that I recommend to anyone wanting to learn something new or have an interest in exercise mechanics – all of which is evidence-based. The information given is on proven facts, that once you know, will change your views and thus your outcome on not only the fitness industry but your movement in general. It is about quality over anything else. Thanks to both Robert Garza and Dr. Mark Slavin for running the courses and workshops.”

I have been working as a full time PT for 6 years now. I was introduced to RTS level 1 course by another trainer. After I took the course, I felt much more confident at exercise selection when I’m training my clients and designing programs. This course also taught me how to identify the difference between good and bad information on social media. I highly recommend every trainer to take this course if you want to train smart and lower the chance of injury.
Jasmine Wang
Jasmine Wang, Auckland, NZ PT says, “As the first group of PT’s that received the RTS1 certificate in NZ I feel it’s been very helpful for both my clients and my own training. The RTS 1 course has taught me a smart way of training. The way I used to train myself wasn’t wrong but with the teachings from RTS1 I am now training myself more effectively. I put more scientific thought into my workouts. We all know that we have different muscle groups, where all they located in our body and how to train them. But with RTS I have learned how to train certain muscles more accurate. For example, which body position is best to hit the rear deltoid, and what angle is most effective for lats in the pull down so the muscle fibers are better aligned against the resistance. This is why I highly recommend PT’s to take and learn from the RTS1 Certification course.”
